Rotherham United have been involved in the recording of a BBC Sounds audio podcast throughout the 2021/22 season - ‘The Moment of Truth’ - which has seen the trials and tribulations of being a professional football manager documented with our very own boss Paul Warne.

BBC journalists Simon Clancy and Liam Thorne have followed Warney around armed with microphones to document everything that goes on in the world of football, delving deep into the sanctity of the club’s training ground and dressing room along the way.

The podcast will contain numerous episodes and will be split between Rotherham United and Oxford United and their manager Karl Robinson – with the U’s also involved in 'The Moment of Truth' recording this season.

Everyone associated with Rotherham United knows just how much of a rollercoaster this season was for Warney and the coaching staff, but in spite of all the challenges that they faced along the way, they still managed to secure promotion and a Papa Johns Trophy triumph in what proved to be a record-breaking year for the club.

BBC Sounds have planned for 15 episodes – which will be an hour-long each – and are set to be released in July.

We are sure that this ‘fly-on-the-wall’, behind-the-scenes look into life as a manager will not only be incredibly enlightening and entertaining, but will also show the level of care and detail that our coaching staff have put into every single aspect of this season.
